Privacy Policy

DayPsych Equine Facilitated Therapy ("we", "us") provides psychological services delivered personally by Dr. Duncan Day, C.Psych., a registered Clinical Psychologist in Ontario. This policy explains what information this website collects, why, and what we do with it. It covers the website only. Once you become a client, your clinical records are handled under Ontario'sPersonal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA) and the standards of the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario, and we explain that to you in person before any work begins.

What we collect

When you send a note through the contact form:

• your name and email address
• your phone number and preferred contact method, if you give them
• whatever you choose to write about what is prompting you to reach out
• whether you are a veteran, serving member or first responder, if you choose to answer

Please share only what you are comfortable with. A few lines are plenty, and a health history comes later, once we have spoken.

When you browse the site: Google Analytics records which pages you visit, roughly where you are (city or region), the kind of device and browser you use, and how you arrived. It does not tell us who you are. We use this only to understand which pages are useful.

How we use it

• to reply to your enquiry and arrange a consultation if you want one
• to understand how the website is used, so we can improve it

We do not sell, rent or trade your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Where it goes

Contact form submissions are passed straight through to our practice email by our website host, Cloudflare. The website does not keep a copy. Analytics data is processed by Google. Both companies may process data outside Canada, including in the United States.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry emails only as long as we need them to respond and to meet our professional and legal record-keeping obligations. Google Analytics data is kept for a limited period set in our account, after which it is deleted automatically.

Cookies

Google Analytics uses cookies to tell one visit from another. The site works fully without them. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or opt out of Google Analytics on every site with Google'sopt-out browser add-on.

Your choices and rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the information you have sent us, or withdraw your consent to further contact, by emailing admin@daypsych.ca. If you have a concern we have not resolved, you can contact the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Ontario.

Not for emergencies

This website and its contact form are not monitored around the clock. If you are in crisis, call or text 9-8-8, Canada's Suicide Crisis Helpline, at any time.
